"Restore Trust and Accountability"

Terry Jensen has called Long Beach home his entire life.  He attended Long Beach schools, including Long Beach City College and California State University, Long Beach.  He raised his family in Long Beach, where they attended Long Beach schools, were LB junior lifeguards, swam for Beach Swim Club, and took lessons at the Leeway Sailing Club.

His wife, Connie, is now the assistant superintendent for Long Beach Unified School District, his son is a Long Beach police officer and his daughter is a trauma nurse at Long Beach Memorial Hospital.

As a successful business and real estate consultant and former small business owner, Terry has experience in ensuring fiscal responsibility and creating jobs.  As a former board member for the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency, Terry worked to promote economic development.

Most importantly, Terry wants to restore trust and accountability in our leadership at City Hall.  He will work to ensure that residents feel once again like they have a voice in the issues affecting our community.

As our councilmember, Terry will work to:

• Restore fiscal responsibility and refocus resources for essential services.
• Restore balance between the quality of life of our neighborhoods and commercial interests.
• Actively promote policies that ensure responsible development of our commercial corridors and the gateways to our community.
• Provide leadership that makes public safety a priority.
• Work proactively with businesses to help them grow and create jobs.
